Youth Entrepreneurship Week Events & Activities

The KENO Micro-Fund will launch the First Annual Youth Entrepreneurship Week from May 14 - 21, 2011.  We encourage churches, youth organizations, schools and entrepreneurs to host events with youth in their community.  Click here to download a resource kit with helpful tools to plan your event.

• May 14, 2011- Youth Entrepreneurship Week Community Service: Because civic responsibility and entrepreneurship go hand in hand join, The KENO Micro-Fund for a highway clean up project.  The clean up location is State Route 41 Northside Drive, between Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and Castleberry near the Atlanta University Center from 3pm - 5pm.

• May 18, 2011 - Deadline for the Change the World For Good Business Idea Competition - Young entrepreneurs can download the one page application and submit their response by email.  The top 5 bright ideas will be recognized during the Youth Entrepreneurship Week National Workshop and Virtual Panel held on May 21, 2011 in Atlanta, GA.  The winning idea will receive full tuition to The KENO Business Boot Camp in the summer of 2011.  Applications can be downloaded by logging on to http://www.kenofund.org/CHALLENGE.doc.

• May 21, 2011 - A one-day business boot camp where young entrepreneurs will receive an intense crash course in starting and growing a successful business.  From 1pm - 4pm at The Villages at Carver Family YMCA 1600 Pryor Road, SW Atlanta, Georgia 30315.  You can join us at the location or call in at 1:30 pm  to participate in our virtual panel discussion with business experts.  Call in number: 1-213-289-0500  Access Code: 24601.
