Bridging the Gap between Youth Entrepreneurs in the United States and Botswana Youth Ambassador and Humanitarian Program Extends Reach to Africa

WHAT:

In an effort to build strong relationships and increase business opportunities between the Republic of Botswana and the United States, the Ambassador from the Republic of Botswana to the United States, Madame Ambassador Dr. Tebelelo M. Seretse, the Office of the Honorary Consul of Botswana of Georgia, Mr. Robert Shumake, and the Botswana Chamber of Commerce will host Tea Time with the Ambassador: A Global Conversation on Women in Leadership. 

On July 21, join a powerful group of Atlanta-based women leaders and some of the top women leaders from the Republic of Botswana including the Minister of Trade and Commerce, Her Excellency Dr. Tebelelo M. Seretse, managing director First National Bank of Botswana, other CEOs and private sector executives. Saturday’s traditional afternoon tea is being held in support of the Youth Ambassador and Humanitarian Program, a project of KENO Foundation, Inc. – Kid Entrepreneurs Need Opportunities www.kenofund.org and Shumake Family and Friends. The Youth Ambassador and Humanitarian Program is an extraordinary program designed to introduce participants to global entrepreneurship, youth leadership development, civic education, and community service while promoting mutual understanding between the youth of Africa and America.

More than 20 youth from across the country have been selected as youth ambassadors to participate in the trip to Botswana via South Africa from July 31, 2012 to August 10, 2012. These youth leaders and entrepreneurs have the opportunity to represent their school, city, state and country as youth ambassadors, while experiencing the economy, culture, education and society of countries within the Southern African Development Communities Region.
